A need to relax...

The way I see it, I would have looked down on myself a bit if I ever thought a cigar was where I would turn for relaxing moments. As a self employed, generally very health contious and active soul, seriously, never thought I would go down that road.... Really, I'm a cyclist, an artist and smoking just wasn't EVER my thing...
Lately though, I've been stressed, over whelmed and more. After talking with a close friend who happens to be a bit older I asked "what's that cool wooden box?". Only to have him open it, letting out an aroma from the cigars inside that was refreshingly intense... Sweet smells, natural smells... Smells I couldn't quite put my finger on. After he showed me a few of his collection and how he generally smokes one every other day or so I became inquisitive. Especially at the thought of having that hour to do nothing but relax and enjoy... My friend, Joe, generally takes one of his precious smokes and heads out onto the back patio of his house. Lights up some candles, the tiki torches, the fire pit, pours himself a drink and just enjoys the moments.
To me, it sounded almost all too good. And if I'm being honest here, that's where it began. Only a week ago. Since that time I couldn't wait to just see what it was all about. And while I don't have that ritual yet, or that certain place that I truly enjoy the smokes, I know that I will. I've had only two cigars but already have about 15 in my humidor for the future enjoyment... And I guess that's where this will all start. And what this is all about. From just lighting that first cigar to learning about the differences, the tastes and more... Follow along with me through the coming times and see where it will all head...
And for those of you that are thinking, OMG, cigars are nasty... Well. I used to think the same thing. NASTY... I guess I'm re-born... LOL... A 32 year old, cyclist. Fit active and always on the go. Just found a way to slow down. And if I can slow down and enjoy the taste and relaxation of a good "stick"... Well... Not to be a jerk but I guess that's my choice...
